Schedule: 7 on / 7 off, 12 hour per day

Primary Responsibilities
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes;
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet CWB, ABSA standards and specifications
- Ensure the finished weld is uniform and free of indications e.g.; grapes, crates, porosity, undercut and lack of fusion
- Utilize the following techniques: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Plasma Arc Welding (PAW), etc.
- Ability to weld stainless steel, iron and heavy metals; aluminum, nickel, titanium and other alloys; composites Other related duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Inter-provincial (Red Seal) or Alberta certified Journeyman Welder certificate
- B Pressure Welding Certification
- ABSA Performance Qualification Card
- 3 years experience in a related field, previous oil and construction experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driverβs License

CSO (Common Safety Orientation) certificate is required
- WHMIS
- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to make sound decisions
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills.
