About Highland Valley Copper
Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Operations is Canada’s largest open-pit copper mine and molybdenum operation. HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation.
Located approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC have an abundant offering of outdoor experiences.
Role Overview
The Mine Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Mine Maintenance Senior Supervisor, is accountable for coordinating trades, schedules, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold company standards within the maintenance department. This role operates on a 4x4 schedule, alternating between day and night shifts. Additionally, the supervisor will provide coverage across various areas of Mine Maintenance, including the Shop, Field, Gas, and Electrical Shop, ensuring all areas are adequately staffed and supervised. Staffing support and coverage will be provided as needed, based on the direction of the Mine Maintenance Senior Supervisor.
We are looking for someone with strong organization and planning skills, who has experience with employee relations and has the ability to work well with a team. Interpersonal and communication skills will be vital for success in this role.
You will be a key player in the coordination of quality maintenance and repair of mine equipment to improve availability and reliability of production. You will advise the troubleshooting of equipment failures to resolve root cause and initiate appropriate remedial actions. HVC operates a primarily Cat equipment fleet.

Pay Range: CAD $106,000 - $131,000 per year
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
