Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, maintain, service, and repair 480V-500kV electrical distribution equipment including:
- Power and Instrument Transformers
- Breakers and Switchgear
- Protective relays and SCADA systems
- Cabling and MV/HV terminations
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics using industry-standard equipment
- Participate in incident investigations (ILP), HAZOPs, and Job Safety Analyses
- Prepare and issue detailed technical reports with recommendations
- Identify and recommend value-add opportunities such as system upgrades or repairs
- Support team members in resolving complex technical issues
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians
- Act as a strong advocate for safety and quality in all field activities
Qualifications
- Certification as one of the following:
- Electrical Engineering Technologist
- Electrical Engineer
- Power Systems Electrician
- Journeyman Electrician

5+ years experience in electrical commissioning and maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of testing apparatus and acceptance/maintenance testing practices
- Familiarity with Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Registration with a relevant professional association (in good standing)
- Leadership or project management experience is considered an asset
- Ability to build strong client relationships and represent the company professionally
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, field environment
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and communication skills
