Location β Cenovus NorthEmployment Type: Full TimeShift Schedule - 14/14Camp Accommodations - ProvidedTravel: Provided Preferred ExperienceMinimum 5 yearsβ experiencein plumbing and gas fitting.Experience in oil & gas, SAGD, or industrial environments.Proficiency with SAP, Word, and Excel is considered a strong asset.Trade / Scope Specific project responsibilities, including, but not limited to:Inspect existing plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Diagnose the condition of plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Recommend best-fit solutions for plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Service and repair plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Construct new plumbing and gas infrastructure.Assemble and install new and replacement plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Communicate inspection results, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service/repair, and installation of plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Document inspection results, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service/repair, and installation of plumbing and gas infrastructure, equipment, and related components.Follow safety guidelines, approved processes, and procedures on the job site.Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.PPE RequirementsAll Plumber/Gasfitter Journeyman personnel are required to wear and maintain the following personal protective equipment (PPE) while on site:CSA-approved steel-toe safety bootsHard hat (CSA-approved)High-visibility vest or clothingProtective gloves suitable for plumbing and gasfitting tasksSafety glasses or gogglesHearing protection in designated high-noise areasFlame-resistant (FR) clothing where requiredFall protection equipment (harness, lanyard, anchorage) when working at heightsRespiratory protection when handling gases or chemical agents, as requiredCP Services provides all required PPE and ensures personnel are trained in its proper use and maintenance in accordance with Alberta OHS legislation and site-specific requirements.Work EnvironmentThe Plumber/Gasfitter Journeyman role is based on industrial oil and gas worksites, which may include:Remote or rotational camp environmentsConfined spaces (boilers, pipelines, mechanical rooms)Elevated work areas requiring fall protectionExposure to gases, chemicals, heat, noise, and dustOutdoor conditions including extreme weather and variable temperaturesAll personnel are expected to follow site-specific safety protocols, participate in required safety orientations, and maintain compliance with all Alberta OHS regulations.
