Stuart Olson is searching for experienced Turnaround Mechanical and Civil Coordinators to support the planning and execution of turnaround at a client site north of Fort McMurray Alberta. You will develop detailed job plans, coordinate materials and resources and collaborate closely with the client and site operation teams. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical job plans, work packages and task lists for turnaround activities
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify scope, identify constraints and ensure constructability
• Identify required labour, materials, tools, permits and equipment
• Build BOM and coordinate with supply chain for delivery
• Sequence work to maximize tool time and minimize equipment downtime
• Coordinate with site stakeholders to validate scope
• Support schedule development by providing accurate duration and crew estimates
• Assist with scope change requests during execution and provide on-site planning support

Qualifications

• Red Seal Mechanical Trade ticket preferred or will consider a mechanical engineering diploma with site experience
• 5 years of mechanical or civil turnaround coordination experience in petro chemical or heavy industrial sites
• Proficiency with CMMS software (SAP) and planning tools
• Able to read engineering drawings and able to interpret technical specifications
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

Required Safety tickets:

• Energy Safety Canada BSO or CSO

Working Conditions

• Working at heights
• Working in a confined space
• Working in and around noise and dust
• Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
• Must be clean shaven
• Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
