What You Will Do:

  • Diagnose defects in heavy duty trucks and trailers and perform required mechanical services

  • Diagnose defects in electrical and lighting systems, brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, and bearings

  • Repair/Replace components for hydraulics, air systems, axles, trailer panels, suspensions, bumpers

  • Perform CVIP inspections/Safety Inspections

  • Perform incidental welding operations on steel and/or aluminum trailers

  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate

  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • The ideal candidate is a registered level 2 apprentice or higher skillset

  • Demonstrated understanding of highway truck and automotive wiring

  • CVIP/Safety certificate for trucks and trailers preferred but not required

  • Previous welding experience is preferred but not required

  • Previous experience installing plows, sanders or dump boxes is preferred but not required

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75lbs, able to work while kneeling/squatting and crouching, work at varying heights and enclosed areas

  • Must posses their own tools to complete tasks

  • Must have open availability

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
