ML Northern is seeking FUEL & lube technicians to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.
For this role, ML Northern offers a combined rate of up to
$53.32/hour
as well as room for growth!
Where You’ll Be Working

Site: Syncrude/Suncor Sites

Schedule: 14 x 7, 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours).

Accommodations: Camp is
not
provided

Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shift).

Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Fueling/lubricating heavy equipment in the field.
-
Assist with PM/Lube Services at Lube Islands and in the field (oil and Filter changes)

Daily Fueling and shift servicing or equipment at the Lube Islands
-
Daily servicing/Fueling of the large loading equipment in the mine
-
Assisting maintenance with lube extraction/refilling during repairs
-
Fueling and greasing of mining & support equipment, with some labourer duties
-
Help in all tasks including general yard clean up, assisting mechanics and servicepersons and other day to day tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.

Very physically demanding position working in adverse condition

Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures
-
Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE
-
Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements
-
Complete equipment/ area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure all equipment is running properly
-
Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately
Qualifications
What Makes You the ONE

Have a valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement

Must be able to operate a standard vehicle
-
Preference will be given to candidates with related experience

Must be a self-starter

Previous experience in the serviceperson (serviceperson) role
-
Experience operating forklift, bobcat and loader would be an asset
-
Aerial Work Platform (AWP) and Fall Arrest Certification would be an asset

Access to Suncor, Syncrude and Syncrude Aurora & Kearl
-
A safety-first attitude

Attentive and possess strong listening skills

High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.
